In 2013 SANVED launched a
Dance Movement Therapy
(
DMT) prgramme in Mumbai
Kolkata SANVED uses
DMT to reach out, rehabilitate and empower abused individuals through its programs in red light areas, railway platforms, Government & NGO run shelter homes, mental health hospitals and academic institutions.
It is one of the pioneering organisations in India to use
DMT
for healing, recovery and positive well-being amongst survivors of sex-trafficking, violence and abuse. For this it has developed a
DMT
Trainer programmes.
Kolkata SANVED & Tata Institute of Social Science Mumbai, offer a academic programme in
Dance Movement Therapy.
Kolkata SANVED has worked in collaboration with UK based theater director, with support from British Council, Goethe Institute, Alliance Francaise.
The importance of DMT
as a viable and successful means of physical and mental rehabilitation is being recognized at a global level.

2012: Reception during Mrs Hillary Clinton's visit to Kolkata
Also in Sadler's Wells Theatre, London
2013: Lincolns Inn Field, London, the oldest Court of Inn's in the UK
2019: Three talented students participated in the Ocean Dance Festival at Cox Bazaar, Chittagong, organised by the World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific.
